On Joshua - Why didn't any cultures on this planet during the supposed all-day stopping of the sun record it?

The sun stopped in the sky in answer to Joshuas command. For a full it did not move (the sun doesn't move, actually but anyway...). NO other culture across this planet notes this? The Maya and Aztec and Inca ALL worshipped the sun and performed regular human sacrifice to it and kept excellent heiroglyphic records and yet somehow missed that for an entire day the sun didn't move? Why is this so?
