Should i go to the inter school athletics carnival?

we have an athletics carnival every year and this year we have 2 new girls. unfortunately these girls are faster than me as running which means im the 5th fastest. the carnival goes for 5-6 hours during school but this year im only in 1 (maybe 2) event. should i go? im in long jump and that doesn't take very long. im going to be sitting there for 5 hours straight. sure if i go i get to represent my school in long jump but im not a fan of long jump. im more of a running person but im not fast enough to be om the running. the person that beats me beats me by not even an inch. should i go?
