Scarlet Letter help!!! Chapters 1 & 2!?

Seriously it's really not that hard. This is Nathaniel Hawthorne...it's pretty easy to tell without even reading it how he would feel about an adulteress. And how common towns-people would feel about her as well. Honestly just read the book dude, its really quite beautiful.
