Christians: Do you consider it eugenics to test a fetus for hereditary, genetic or other disorders?

I believe that amniocentesis is dangerous for the fetus, and wouldn't do it, but I don't go so far as to say it should be banned. What's the point in testing a fetus for any type of disorder unless you'd consider aborting it if it had a disorder? If I were pregnant, I would feel the need to know if it had a particular disorder, because it wouldn't matter utnil it was born.
