Do you think mainstream rap only perpetuates black stereotypes?

Just about every mainstream rap song has something to do with , drugs, or ing. Aside from the fact that I think the lyrics are obnoxious and shallow, it seems as though they would also perpetuate racism. The mentality of close-minded bigots is only being reinforced when these songs are heard. How do these "artists" not see that?
