Guy lasts too long, doesn't come, loses hard-on?

I had really weird with this guy I met the same evening. First of all, it lasted for 8 hours (not kidding) and he did not come. We kept going on until sunrise, then he lost his hard-on and we had to call it quits. My question is, why did he last for so long, why did he not ***, and why did he lose his hard-on? Is it me? Could it be because as soon as the sun illuminated the room and he saw me more clearly he was not attracted to me anymore? Of course, anything is possible, but could it be because he got tired or whatever? I don't have much ual experience, so i don't know how hard-ons work..why do guys normally lose them(other than if they think you're ugly)? is it common for guys to go on for 8 hours, lose hard-ons and not come? Sorry about the stupid question, just curious..
