What rock bands have changed the most?

Hands down: Powerman 5000. It the early days they played a lot of blues rock and some hip-hop. The First few real albums they released were hard rock sounding with a lot of sci-fi themes. Near the middle of their career they dropped the sci-fi themes but kept the hard rock. Their second to last album was a puzzler. They were just trying to hard and produced a pop-rock album and their latest album is going back to their sci-fi themes again
